We are a counselling service for children, adolescents and their families located in Woolloongabba, in Brisbane’s inner South.

What treatments are available?
Treatments may include:
- Goal Setting
- Activity Scheduling
- Anger Management
- Assertiveness and Communication Skills
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
- Medication where necessary
What about Medical Rebates?
Medicare rebate is available for up to 50 sessions each year. Medicare rebates are processed at the clinic and usually returned to your bank account (linked to your Medicare Card) within 24 hours.
If a parent attends an appointment without their child, Medicare will be unable to provide any rebate (unless the parent provides their own GP referral).
What about medication?
Patient-centered talk therapy will always be used. Information and medication prescriptions can be provided if indicated and parents wish for this.
What should I bring?
Please bring recent school reports and any Paediatric, Psychology and Speech Therapy reports.
What does it cost?
All fees are to be paid in full on the day of your appointment or a 10% surcharge applies.
Psychiatry services are provided as part of a GP referral and Australian residents are eligible for Medicare Rebates. Rebates will be higher once you or your family reaches the annual Medicare Safety Net threshold. Individuals are registered automatically, however couples and families must be formally registered with Medicare for this to take effect. Private Health Insurance does not cover outpatient Psychiatry appointments. Check with your insurance company for details.
A cancellation fee of $100 applies to all bookings cancelled with less than 2 business days notice. This fee must be paid in full before any further appointments will be made.
What if I need help urgently?
We prioritise appointments for existing patients. Your General Practitioner can be helpful, as can your local hospital.
